Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential physical labor aboard vessels and barges in all weather conditions.
  • Make and break tow, secure boats and barges, and handle lines.
  • General upkeep of the vessel including cleaning and minor engine tasks.

Experience in pushing boats
Ability to work under various weather conditions

Job description

Location: Multiple Locations
Pay: $200–$240 per day (based on experience)
Schedule: 2-for-1 rotation

What You’ll Do

Deckhands perform essential physical labor aboard vessels and barges in all weather conditions.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Making and breaking tow
  • Securing boats and barges
  • Line handling and rigging
  • Standing lookout watches
  • General vessel upkeep (cleaning, cooking, painting, chipping)
  • Minor engine room tasks (oil changes, greasing, filter changes)
  • Additional duties as directed by the Captain or Mate
