Job summary

A leading maritime services company is seeking Deckhands to perform essential physical labor aboard vessels and barges. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $200 to $240 per day, depending on experience, and provides extensive training. Qualifications

• Prior push boat experience is highly preferred.
• Must have a TWIC card and maintain it.
• Must be able to work holidays/weekends and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential physical labor aboard vessels and barges in all weather conditions.
• Make and break tow, secure boats and barges, and handle lines.
• General upkeep of the vessel including cleaning and minor engine tasks.

Skills

Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs

Experience in pushing boats

Ability to work under various weather conditions

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job description

Location: Multiple Locations
Pay: $200–$240 per day (based on experience)
Schedule: 2-for-1 rotation

What You’ll Do

Deckhands perform essential physical labor aboard vessels and barges in all weather conditions.

Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Making and breaking tow
• Securing boats and barges
• Line handling and rigging
• Standing lookout watches
• General vessel upkeep (cleaning, cooking, painting, chipping)
• Minor engine room tasks (oil changes, greasing, filter changes)
• Additional duties as directed by the Captain or Mate
