Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - St. Charles is looking for a Deck Supervisor to manage shifts and supervise on-deck employees. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe pool environment, leading daily meetings, and interacting with parents about student progress. The role requires certifications in lifeguarding and CPR/AED, as well as two or more years of experience as a swim instructor. Qualifications

• Must pass background examinations (included with training).
• Experience in teaching or coaching youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned shift including supervision of on-deck employees.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck for the shift.
• Interact with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool facility and appropriate chemical levels.

Skills

Ability to work with children

Excellent interpersonal communication

Organizational skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Two or more years as a swim instructor

Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach

College degree preferred

Tools

Lifeguard certification

CPR/AED certification
