Job summary

Klover Contracting is seeking a Structural Ironworker – Deck & Joists to install structural flooring systems and metal decking per blueprints and orders in various Klover projects. The role requires ability to read drawings and align components, with welding capability as a plus and strict adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, 1+ year experience with decking/structural steel, and familiarity with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience with floor joist, metal deck, or structural steel installation.
• 1+ year experience with stick welding; current AWS D1.1 SMAW 3G/4G certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety devices and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and read height, width, length with a tape measure.
• Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be put in place.
• Fabricate or alter parts using grinders, sawzalls, shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
• Join materials with PAFs, nails, screws, staples, or adhesives.
• Use levels, plumb bobs, and lasers to ensure level and secure installations.
• Install flooring systems according to specifications and building codes.
• Perform welds as needed (stick welding).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; use PPE.
