Job summary

Upstate Medical University in Syracuse is seeking a candidate to implement Decision Support Systems and provide user assistance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with three years of IT experience or an Associate’s degree with five years. Preference will be given to candidates with database usage skills and healthcare experience.

Job Summary

Works with end users to coordinate the implementation of Decision Support Systems, applications, and/or interfaces by providing the building, testing, training, support, maintenance, and enhancements. Provides end-user assistance, involving analysis, identification of problem or needs, designing solutions and identifying required system adaptations. Also responsible for performing periodic system maintenance and upgrade activities that would include occasional night/weekend work.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant Information Technology experience or an Associate’s and 5 years of relevant Information Technology experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Preference will be given to candidates who possess relational database usage including Oracle and/or SQL-Server and programming tools to include Tableau, SSIS, PL SQL, T-SQL, C#, and/or Business Objects.
• Candidates with Epic Clarity and/or Epic Caboodle support experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Work Days

Monday – Friday 8:00–5:00. Weekends as needed.
