Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Decision Scientist to support analytics projects across multiple business models in banking channels, segments, and products. You will partner on initiatives, leveraging machine learning and quantitative techniques to drive optimized business outcomes.

The role requires a strong combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, and the ability to communicate insights effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education; 3+ years in Banking, Finance, Decision/Data Science, Analytics, CS, or Eng
• Experience delivering insights under tight deadlines in cross-functional teams
• Proficient in statistical methods and analytical principles
• Knowledge of transaction processing, databases and BI tools
• Proficiency in programming (SAS, SQL) and data science tools (R, Python)
• Familiarity with Tableau, MicroStrategy; strong MS Office skills
• Preferred: Master’s in quantitative field; 6+ years experience; PM experience in analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact analyses across multiple business models, banks channels and products
• Partner on target initiatives; drive decision science projects for optimization
• Deliver insights to increase revenue or efficiency through data-driven analytics
• Apply tools to solve business challenges; deliver timely, accurate, repeatable solutions
• Exercise sound judgment and risk management; foster client-centric design
• Collaborate with LOB contributors and junior managers across the org
