Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Decision Scientist - Clinical Informatics to activate the clinical data repository and improve outcomes across lines of business. You will bridge clinical data assets with analysts and business partners, ensuring data is accessible, well-documented, and aligned with standards.

Role focuses on building a scalable data platform, feature store, and analytics assets while maintaining governance and regulatory requirements. 40 hours weekly, full-time, with CVS Health benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in clinical informatics or healthcare analytics.
• Familiar with CCD data, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, NDC, RxNorm.
• Proficiency with SQL and large-scale healthcare datasets.
• Ability to support downstream data consumers through documentation and training.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert in clinical data, including CCD, and apply it to healthcare problems.
• Build the clinical data feature store with standards and documentation.
• Develop analytics by creating well-documented data assets for analysts and data scientists.
• Create and maintain data documentation, dictionaries, and lineage.
• Build queries, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate data quality and insights.
• Translate clinical concepts into analytical frameworks for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data engineering to inform data pipelines.
• Learn and enforce data governance practices including HIPAA compliance.
• Stay current with clinical data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED-CT, LOINC, CPT, NDC, RxNorm).
