Job summary

Fluidstack in Austin, TX is hiring a Decision Engineering Team Lead for the Business Operations group. You will lead a small team of AI software engineers building decision tools to boost productivity, while also shipping high‑leverage agents yourself.

You will set technical direction, own delivery, mentor engineers, and partner with leadership to prioritize AI augmentation bets across business workflows, balancing speed and robust foundations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience including leading engineers or owning technical direction for a team.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, and TypeScript and AI tooling.
• Strong full-stack skills with React/Next.js or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building applications with LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Deep understanding of AI coding agent tools including Claude Code and Cursor.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Decision Engineers, setting technical direction and owning the bar for what ships.
• Still build hands-on: personally ship the highest-leverage AI tools and agents for business operations workflows.
• Own the team's delivery: identify the highest-impact AI augmentation opportunities across business operations workflows and turn them into shipped tools with measurable productivity gains.
• Design and maintain shared AI infrastructure including AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md, and shared skills the wider organization builds on.
• Grow the engineers on your team through review, direction, and hiring.
• Partner with team and functional leadership to translate their goals into an AI tooling roadmap
