Job summary

Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) is seeking a Programs Specialist to implement and support decarbonization programs for homes, businesses, and vehicles in alignment with SVCE’s emissions-reduction goals. You will lead or assist with residential rebates and related services, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, environmental science, environmental studies, or other relevant field preferred.
• A typical qualification would be a Bachelor’s degree with one year of relevant experience supporting sustainability, energy, environmental, customer engagement, or related programs.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to organize, analyze, and present data and information.
• Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation and administration of community decarbonization programs, including customer support and engagement, program and budget tracking, consultant coordination, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and program evaluation, monitoring, and verification activities.
• Researches and evaluates potential enhancements to existing programs by gathering and analyzing available data, collaborating with internal and external partners, collecting stakeholder input, assessing costs and benefits, and developing recommendations for consideration.
• Coordinates with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to support collaborations, partnerships, and funding opportunities that advance building and transportation electrification initiatives.
• Develops written and oral communications summarizing program activities, results, and lessons learned to support program planning, continuous improvement, and related policy efforts.
• Communicates program information and lessons learned with internal colleagues, leadership, external partners, and stakeholders, as appropriate.
