Job summary

Great Hearts Prairie View Lower School in Fort Worth seeks a Dean of Students (K-5) to lead student conduct, build culture, and partner with families, teachers, and staff. This exempt role reports to the Headmaster and contributes to social-emotional initiatives and school-wide programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of teaching or equivalent experience, with preference for liberal arts exposure within a Great Hearts context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience or equivalent in the field.
• Experience in a liberal arts institution or knowledge of Great Books curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, orderly environment and standards of student conduct.
• Lead school culture and liaise with families, students, faculty, and staff.
• Proactively support student behavior, engagement, and confidence.
• Coordinate with Lead Office staff on disciplinary and social-emotional matters.
• Supervise students and support teachers with classroom management.
• Serve as liaison with special education teams and counselors.
