Job summary

Great Hearts Prairie View Lower School in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Dean of Students (K-5) to support social and disciplinary matters, reinforce school culture, and collaborate with families and staff. The role reports to the Headmaster and may require teaching or substitute duties as needed.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of teaching or related experience, with a preference for liberal arts and Great Books curriculum exposure.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree at minimum.
• Experience: At least 2 years of prior teaching experience or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 2 years in a liberal arts institution or knowledge of Great Books core curriculum is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, orderly school environment and student conduct.
• Protect student culture and liaise with families, students, and staff.
• Intervene to improve behavior and academic engagement.
• Coordinate with Great Hearts Lead Office on disciplinary and social-emotional matters.
• Oversee disciplinary actions and support classroom management.
• Support school events and leadership activities.
• Assist with supervision and substitute teaching as needed.
