Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Cincinnati seeks a Dean of Students to support graduation goals and college readiness by providing behavior guidance and culturally responsive support. The role collaborates with school leadership to sustain a positive culture and enforce the student code of conduct.

The incumbent will lead discipline data analysis, design intervention plans, and work with families. The position follows a standard 8:00am–5:00pm schedule with a 12-month work agreement.

Qualifications

• Education: State paraprofessional/instructional aide license or at least 48 college hours required.
• Experience: 3+ years with children in classroom or volunteer setting.
• Commitment: 8:00am to 5:00pm daily.
• Expertise: PBIS, Crisis Prevention, Restorative Justice, Responsive Classroom.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Assistant Principal of School Culture to implement a school-wide culture plan.
• Provide visionary leadership to staff and students for a positive, structured environment.
• Track and analyze student discipline data to identify needed interventions.
• Maintain visibility during school hours to support a welcoming climate.
• Assist teachers with developing developmentally appropriate interventions.
