Job summary

Albright College seeks a Dean of Students for Campus Life and Conduct to lead its campus life program and student conduct process. This hybrid role combines strategic oversight of residence life and student engagement with administration of a fair, educationally grounded conduct system.

The Dean serves as a key member of the Student Affairs leadership team and as a resource for students navigating community life and conduct matters.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum five years in residence life, student conduct, or student affairs, with at least two years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of student development theory, due process standards, and relevant federal/state regulations.
• Experience in on-call or crisis-response roles, and with housing or conduct management software (e.g., The Housing Director, Maxient).

Responsibilities

• Direct residential life strategy, staffing, budget, and programming, including supervision of professional and student staff.
• Administer the student conduct process in full—case management, hearings, sanctioning, and appeals—per FERPA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.
• Serve as primary hearing officer for routine cases and oversee conduct boards as appropriate.
• Oversee student engagement including student organizations, Student Government, and Greek Life.
• Participate in senior on-call rotation for crisis response and after-hours emergencies.
• Develop and revise institutional policy, including the Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Housing Agreement.
