Albright College in Reading, PA seeks a Dean of Students for Campus Life and Conduct to lead its campus life program and conduct process. This hybrid role combines strategic oversight of residence life and student engagement with administration of a fair, educationally grounded conduct system.

The Dean serves on the Student Affairs leadership team, advising the Vice President for Student Affairs and supporting students navigating community life and conduct matters.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in residence life, student conduct, or student affairs, including supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory, due process standards, and relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Experience in an on-call or crisis-response capacity, and with housing or conduct management software (e.g., The Housing Director, Maxient).
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Direct residential life strategy, staffing, budget, and programming, including supervision of professional and student staff (Community Coordinators, Resident Assistants).
  • Administer the student conduct process in its entirety - case management, hearings, sanctioning, and appeals - in compliance with FERPA, Title IX, and the Clery Act.
  • Serve as primary hearing officer for routine cases and provide oversight of conduct boards when appropriate.
  • Oversight of student engagement including student organizations, Student Government and Greek Life.
  • Participate in the senior on-call rotation for crisis response and after-hours emergencies.
  • Develop and revise institutional policy, including the Student Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Housing Agreement.

About the Role
