Job summary

YES Prep in Houston, Texas seeks a Dean of Students for an 11-month position, starting with the 26-27 School Year. Compensation starts at $65,264 annually.

The role reports to the Director of Student Support and focuses on data-driven student services, MTSS implementation, and strong campus culture. The Dean of Students will coach Grade Level Chairs, collaborate with families and campus staff, manage behavior and intervention systems, and lead initiatives to promote student wellness and success

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• At least 3 years as a Teacher of Record or in a student-facing leadership or program role.
• At least 2 years serving as a Grade Level Chair or equivalent role.
• Experience in coaching or leading adults.
• Commitment to YES Prep Public Schools mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Collect, maintain, and analyze student data to identify trends and inform planning.
• Coach Grade Level Chairs and campus stakeholders with growth plans.
• Manage student discipline referrals in alignment with policy and documentation.
• Develop and monitor MTSS interventions for tiers 1–3.
• Build relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners.
• Coordinate collaboration between Grade Level Chairs and campus leadership.
