Job summary

Cloquet Public School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute Dean of Students for the Cloquet Area Alternative Education Program (CAAEP). Under the supervision of the High School Principal, you will support attendance, behavior, and disciplinary processes.

The role emphasizes restorative practices, collaboration with teachers, families, and community partners, and building a safe, inclusive environment for at-risk students.

Qualifications

• Minnesota teaching license is required.
• Preference for graduate-level work or an earned degree.
• Experience collaborating with staff, students, and families is valued.
• Experience working with at-risk students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrators, teachers, parents and students in resolving attendance, behavioral and disciplinary issues.
• Maintain records of student disciplinary actions.
• Confer with parents, teachers, and students on discipline and problem solving.
• Coordinate with community and government agencies on drug/alcohol abuse and truancy.
• Assist in developing policies to ensure school safety.
