Job summary

Fort Worth STEAM Academy seeks a Dean of Special Populations to lead SPED, Emergent Bilingual (EB), and Section 504 programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The role includes ARD meetings, IEP implementation, service-minute tracking, and related services coordination.

The Dean will also serve as EB Coordinator, lead LPAC processes, monitor EB progress, and oversee 504 meetings and implementation, while supporting two SPED teachers and one Reading Interventionist

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Texas SPED teaching certification.
• 3–5+ years of SPED teaching or leadership experience.
• Strong ARD/IEP knowledge and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Special Education programming, case management, and compliance.
• Coordinate and facilitate ARD meetings and ensure IEP timelines are met.
• Monitor IEP implementation, accommodations, and service-minute delivery.
• Coordinate evaluations and related services with providers.
• Maintain audit-ready Special Education records and coding.
• Serve as EB Coordinator and lead LPAC processes and meetings.
• Oversee Section 504 referrals, evaluations, plan development, and reviews.
• Directly manage two SPED teachers and one Reading Interventionist; provide coaching.
• Collaborate with families and staff to coordinate supports and timelines.
