Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Houston, TX seeks a Dean of Nursing to provide accountable leadership for academic programs, partnerships with community and hospital clinical sites, and service as a key member of the campus leadership team.

The role ensures teaching excellence, faculty and student engagement, and success aligned with accreditation standards, while guiding curriculum development, budgeting, and policy implementation across the campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Nursing required.
• Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accountable leadership for the academic programs, community and hospital partnerships, and serve as a member of the College and Campus management team.
• Ensure teaching excellence, faculty and student engagement, and student success in accordance with accreditation standards and the mission of Galen College of Nursing.
• Direct, lead, and supervise all academic aspects of the campus; develop strategic direction for curriculum and programs; manage resources and budgeting.
• Support program directors and faculty in maintaining expertise and meeting learning outcomes within budgetary guidelines.
• Participate in governance activities and ensure student representation in governance.

Education

Graduate Degree in Nursing
