Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Director of Clinical Learning to standardize clinical experiences across all nursing programs by leading the negotiation, arrangement, and evaluation of clinical site partnerships. This role ensures clinical experiences align with curriculum outcomes, accreditation standards, and state board requirements, while upholding the Galen mission and values.

The DCL reports to the Dean within a matrix structure and collaborates with the Clinical Performance and

Qualifications

• MSN required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state required.
• Minimum three (3) years of clinical education experience required.
• Academic nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical experience evaluation findings inform decision-making for the maintenance and improvement of student learning outcomes, program outcomes, and the overall clinical experience.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to oversee faculty clinical course assignments, scheduling, and workload.
• Oversee 90-day and annual performance evaluations for faculty and clinical education staff; support Rank & Promotion processes.
• Facilitate communication among theory, clinical learning lab, simulation, and clinical faculty.
