Job summary

The Dean collaborates with faculty, administration, and consortia to advance information literacy, collection development, budgeting, and staff development while ensuring ethical and equitable access to library materials.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Two years post-MLIS/MLS leadership experience in an academic library.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituencies.
• Demonstrated budgeting and planning expertise.
• Understanding the role of the academic library in support for learning, teaching, and research.

Responsibilities

• Leads library policies aligned with institutional priorities.
• Directs staff development and annual goal setting.
• Oversees budget development with VP Finance and Administration.
• Coordinates library services with IT, vendors, and OSU.
• Represents the library at Phillips events.
• Supervises library staff including librarians and assistants.
