Job summary

College of The Albemarle seeks a Dean of Business, Industry and Applied Technologies (BIAT) to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership across BIAT programs. The Dean will oversee business, IT, CTE, and applied technology programs, reporting to the Vice President of Learning.

The role leads faculty and staff, ensuring program quality, student success, and ongoing improvement. Expect collaboration with other leaders and strong community partnerships to support regional workforce

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative, supervisory, or academic leadership experience.
• Minimum of four years of teaching, workforce development, industry, or other directly related professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience supervising personnel and managing programs, budgets, or organizational operations.
• Preferred: experience in community college or higher education leadership; experience with accreditation, program development and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership for BIAT programs.
• Oversee business, information technology, career/technical education, and applied technologies.
• Lead curriculum development, enrollment, scheduling, budgeting, assessment, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and sustain partnerships with employers, industry, and community partners.
• Support student success, program growth, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with College leaders to advance institutional goals and priorities.
