Job summary

Compton College invites applications for the Dean of Education and Workforce Development. Under the Vice President of Academic Affairs, you will oversee Perkins V, the Strong Workforce Program, and adult education initiatives, including grant development, budgeting, and compliance.

You will lead workforce development, coordinate with faculty and partners, manage programs and staff, and promote work‑based learning to help students transition to postsecondary opportunities and high‑wage careers.

Qualifications

• Experience in adult education and workforce development.
• Grant proposals, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Budget development, monitoring and reporting for funded programs.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and program assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for workforce development efforts.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to align programs with industry standards and student goals.
• Cultivate partnerships with business, industry, and community organizations to expand training opportunities.
• Oversee grant lifecycles and manage program budgets and compliance.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned staff and coordinate program planning across divisions.
