Job summary

Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) seeks a Dean of Student Services to lead Counseling, EOPS, LGBTQ, Next Up & CARE, Umoja, Guardian Scholars and Puente. The Dean will steer supervision, strategy, and service delivery to advance the Pathway to Academic, Career, and Transfer Success (PACTS) framework.

The role requires a Master's degree and leadership experience, with strong collaboration, budgeting and governance skills to enhance student outcomes and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of one year of full-time formal training, internship or leadership experience related to the administrative assignment.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned areas in implementing best practices to streamline processes and reduce barriers to student success.
• Oversee Counseling, EOPS, LGBTQ, Next Up & CARE, Umoja, Guardian Scholars, Kinship Care and Puente; supervise faculty and staff and ensure program quality.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to provide quality counseling and student services within the pathway framework; coordinate with other programs and campus entities.
• Apply participatory governance and manage staff within CBAs; oversee hiring, budgeting and program evaluations.
• Support a rotating Evening Administrator schedule and adapt to non-traditional work hours as needed.
