Job summary

Proofpoint in Draper, UT is seeking a Deals Desk Analyst II to join our Finance organization. You’ll partner with Sales to price, quote, and structure deals across a range of customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the Quote-to-Cash process.

You’ll work with Revenue, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to resolve non-standard transactions and identify process improvements that boost efficiency, while moving deals forward in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Deals Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Sales Support, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting a SaaS or enterprise software business is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for Sales teams on pricing, quoting, and deal structure questions.
• Review customer account information and transaction details to ensure quotes are accurate and complete.
• Partner with Sales to develop deal structures that align with customer needs, pricing guidelines, and company policies.
• Review pricing requests, contractual language, and discounts to ensure required approvals are obtained and properly documented.
• Work with Revenue, Legal, Finance, Product Management, Order Management, and other teams to resolve more complex or non-standard transactions.
• Apply your knowledge of the Quote-to-Cash process to help ensure transactions move efficiently from quote through booking, especially during period-end deadlines.
• Use data to help support pricing recommendations and maintain consistency across transactions.
• Look for opportunities to improve quoting processes and share ideas that help increase efficiency and reduce friction.
