Job summary

Vanguard Truck Centers LLC is seeking a Shop Porter to help move trucks and maintain a clean, safe shop environment. Responsibilities include sweeping, organizing aisles, removing scrap, inspecting hoses and filters, and keeping benches and tool areas orderly.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid Class B CDL; 1–3 months related experience is acceptable. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and dependable daily performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid CDL, Minimum Class B.
• The physical demands described may require sustained physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Moves Trucks around the shop (CDL Required).
• Sweeps, shovels, or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.
• Checks and empties garbage cans.
• Clean and organize shop aisles.
• Clean up and de-clutter work benches.
• Remove and replace filters.
• Empty scrap iron containers.
• Inspect airline hoses for leaks.
• Clean used oil dump area.
• Inspect and clean washer bay.
• Clean and organize tool room.
• Pick up debris and garbage on fence line and landscaping.
• Inspect eye wash station.
• Inspect and repair painted safety lines.
