Job summary

Willis Automotive in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Financial Accountant to support month-end financial reporting, costing and posting of deals, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The role requires attention to detail, three+ years accounting experience, and the ability to work with CDK DMS and Microsoft Office; AA in Accounting preferred but not required. Team environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
• Three plus years accounting experience.
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with CDK dealership management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial statements and supplemental reporting.
• Prepare payroll calculations for sales staff that are on commission-based pay plans.
• Cost and post all new and pre-owned car deals.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process, and provide monthly reporting comparing actual results to budget.
• Various other reporting and reconciliations as required.
