Job summary

Willis Automotive is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on month-end financial reporting, deals costing, payroll calculations for sales staff, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, is detail oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with CDK software is preferred. This position offers a solid benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
• Three+ years accounting experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CDK dealership management software preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and supplemental reporting.
• Prepare payroll calculations for sales staff on commission-based pay plans.
• Cost and post all new and pre-owned car deals.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Participate in annual budgeting and monthly variance reporting.
• Other reporting and reconciliations as required.
