Lithia Motors in Wasilla, AK is seeking an entry-level Dealership Accountant I at Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Wasilla. The role focuses on accurate posting of dealership transactions and supports accounting operations in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

You will handle service and warranty contracts, car purchases, invoicing, and vendor payments while developing accounting knowledge and professional skills with a clear path to advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Basic accounting knowledge with COA, debits and credits.
• Auto industry experience or familiarity is preferred.

Dealership Accountant I is an entry level position that ensures timely, accurate and consistent recording of dealership transactions. This is a traditional accounting role that manages transactional posting of dealership activities. Accounting acumen is required. High performers will build upon their accounting & financial acumen while also building relationship and influential leadership skills. This will serve them well on a path to an Accounting Manager Role or if coupled with Automotive and Business acumen on the path to a Business Manager

Compensation Range

$17.80 - $26.45/hr with a typical starting range of $18-$25/hr. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.

What You'll Do

• Submission of Service Contracts
• Submission of Warranty Contracts
• New car purchases and Dealer trades
• Recording of used car purchases
• Request and process lien payoffs
• Processing of cash receipts
• Regional check runs
• Processing and payment of vendor invoices
• FTC reconciliation
• Accounting for manufacturer monies (parts, warranty, incentives, misc)
• Posting to Intercompany accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Lithia Hiring Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent. 18 years or older
• Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
• A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
