Job summary

CarGuys Inc. in Millington, MI, seeks an Automotive Accounting Clerk to manage daily accounting tasks and assist the Controller. Responsibilities

• Prepare daily journal entries from POS reports and postings.
• Process daily credit card batches and postings.
• Post vendor invoices and walk-in check requests daily.
• Process weekly credit card charges and AP payments.
• Run monthly bank account reconciliations and vendor statements.
• Assist Controller with reports, research, and ad hoc tasks.

Responsibilities

• Daily journal entries using reports from POS system.
• Daily credit card batch processing and posting.
• Daily posting of vendor invoices and walk in check requests.
• Weekly posting of credit card charges.
• Weekly processing of accounts payable payments.
• Monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Monthly vendor statements and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist Controller, upon request, with reports, research, etc.

Qualifications

• Accounting and Automotive background preferred.
• Strong computer skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
