Job summary

CarGuys Inc. is seeking an Automotive Accounting Clerk in Lafayette, Indiana, to manage daily journal entries, batch processing of credit card payments, and posting of vendor invoices within a busy automotive dealership environment.

The role covers accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and monthly statements, supporting the Controller with reports and research as needed. A background in accounting with automotive exposure is preferred, with strong communication skills and proficiency in

• Strong computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Daily journal entries using reports from POS system.
• Daily credit card batch processing and posting.
• Daily posting of vendor invoices and walk-in check requests.
• Weekly posting of credit card charges.
• Weekly processing of accounts payable payments.
• Monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Monthly vendor statements and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist Controller with reports and research as needed.
