Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of retail finance experience particularly related to underwriting loans for a dealer network.
• Strong decision making and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills both to internal and external clients.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and take on projects to assist the department with initiatives.
• Ability to understand larger loan request and underwrite the request in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Responsibilities

• Process and decision credit applications and assess risk.
• Underwrite consistent with policies and approve credit under OEM guidelines.
• Log loan information accurately into the origination system.
• Make credit decisions within SLA time ranges.
• Answer dealer/customer questions about underwriting and promotions.
• Distribute current program mailings to dealers to develop relationships.
• Build dealer relationships through tele-consulting and meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of products and MSRPs.
• Assist in policy/procedure development.
• Support fraud and BSA/AML controls.
• Document accounts with proper mitigating factors.
• Calculate long-term value and advance rates under OEM guidelines.
