Summary of This Role

Guides and undertakes business development efforts for prospective clients and distribution channel partners. Plans, identifies, and executes due diligence and strategic business development objectives. Researches, evaluates, and manages new strategic business opportunities, entry into niche or new geographic markets, new business platforms, major segment initiatives, and key partnerships and alliances in alignment with the company's mid- to long-term strategic plans. Coordinates with the Corporate Strategy & Development team on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Establishes policy and strategy implementation. Manages financial feasibility studies, including market analysis, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs. Assists with special studies or key projects related to operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, and cost containment.

What Part Will You Play?
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new business relationships with non-traditional prospects, proposing innovative product solutions to create new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product managers, sales, clients, relationship teams, consultants, and partners to define growth strategies, marketing positioning, pricing, partnerships, and industry engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on product design and solution analysis, evaluating technical feasibility, deployment options, costs, efforts, and market potential.
  • Support strategic marketing with market assessments and analyses to identify target markets and client reactions, providing recommendations on go/no-go decisions, partnerships, or development strategies.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to ensure profitable outcomes, conducting due diligence throughout negotiations and into contract finalization.
  • Oversee sales processes, including qualifying opportunities, developing terms, solution design, RFP/RFI responses, pricing, and legal negotiations.
  • Monitor revenue generation to meet financial objectives, ensuring invoicing and revenue recognition.
  • Identify and negotiate potential partnerships to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Provide industry insights, market understanding, and strategic product management expertise, including thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant experience or degree in Computer Science or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in technology and financial services technology, especially across the B2B payments lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of fintech environment and emerging industry players.
  • Prior experience in sales, business development, or M&A is valuable.
  • Experience in startups, executive management, or P&L management is beneficial.
  • Understanding of sales management, reporting, and dashboard development for senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field from an accredited university.
  • Typically 12+ years of relevant experience.
