Job Title: Deal Operations Specialist

Location: Remote (Preference for EST-based candidates)

Duration: 12+ Months

Time Zone Coverage Required: Must have working hour overlap with San Francisco, New York, and London

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Deal Operations Specialist to support our global investment and finance teams. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the top corporate venture capital firms and play a pivotal role in managing data, tracking investment activity, and engaging with our portfolio companies. The ideal candidate has experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud (non-admin), has worked in or around venture capital or investment firms, and is confident interacting with executives and stakeholders across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update investment opportunity and company data within Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Collaborate with the global investment team to ensure all deal data is accurate and current
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across all stages of the investment lifecycle
  • Support onboarding processes for new portfolio companies

Deal Flow Coordination & Documentation

  • Track pipeline status and monitor deal progress
  • Coordinate with investors to capture new opportunities, update ongoing deals, and flag missing information
  • Maintain organized filing of deal memos, term sheets, and investment committee feedback
  • Record final investment terms and post-deal notes
  • Collaborate with the finance team to review and process portfolio company financials
  • Verify and audit documentation, SaaS metrics, and performance data
  • Prepare and maintain portfolio “tear sheets” summarizing key investment and company performance data
  • Liaise with portfolio companies to gather missing or clarifying information

Required Qualifications

  • 2–6 years of experience in venture capital, investment management, or a related industry
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud for data entry, updates, and reporting (non-admin role)
  • Familiarity with venture capital deal documents such as term sheets, cap tables, and financial statements
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills, especially when engaging with executive stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage data and documentation with accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and similar productivity tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience using portfolio reporting tools or fund management systems
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics and venture deal structures
