Stout in Detroit, MI is seeking a Director within our Transaction Advisory practice to lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for PE and corporate clients. You will translate complex findings into clear insights for senior stakeholders and drive business development while mentoring teams.

Required are deep US GAAP knowledge, CPA, and 10+ years in audit or transaction advisory. Willingness to travel up to 50% and a track record of building client relationships are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of relevant audit, financial accounting due diligence, or transaction advisory experience, including leading engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side financial accounting due diligence engagements from scope through final deliverables.
• Advise on financial risks and considerations that may affect valuation, deal structure, and negotiations.
• Oversee quality of earnings, working capital, net debt, and other transaction-specific analyses.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Lead client, management, and advisor meetings throughout the due diligence process.
