Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind - ASDB seeks an Intervenor or Intervenor Technician to provide direct support to a student with deafblindness on the Oro Valley campus. The role requires following IEPs, implementing modifications, and developing the student’s communication methods.

Responsibilities include facilitating access to instruction, developing communication skills, and promoting social connections.

Formación

• Associate's degree or completion of two years (60 semester credit hours) of higher education.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention Training certifications or ability to obtain within required timeline.
• FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as required by policy or statute.
• Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business.

Responsabilidades

• Provide consistent access to instruction using the student’s communication mode (auditory, visual, or tactual).
• Assist in development/use of receptive and expressive communication skills.
• Support development of trusting relationships to promote social and emotional well-being.
• Help form relationships and increase social participation.
• Assist in lifting and caring for students (toileting, feeding, hygiene).
• Communicate modifications and student progress to teachers/IEP team.
