Job summary

Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (ASDB) seeks a Deaf Mentor to support families within the Early Learning Program and IDEA Part C framework. You will provide parent education, conduct home visits, and coordinate with the Deaf Mentor Coordinator to meet child outcomes through appropriate curriculum, in-person and via remote technology.

Travel is required; you will schedule and deliver services to deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind children, maintaining documentation in compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies or related field required.
• Minimum 4 years Deaf Mentorship experience or related position.
• ASLPI 4 or SLPI Superior rating.
• Must pass FBI and State background check.
• Valid Arizona State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide parent education for the Deaf Mentor Program in coordination with Early Learning and IDEA Part C.
• Schedule and conduct home visits and instruction, in person and via remote technology.
• Select and implement curriculum to meet IFSP/IEP outcomes for deaf or hard of hearing children.
• Create and maintain reports and documentation compliant with laws.
