Job summary

The State of Minnesota invites applications for the MSAD Special Teacher-Secondary Program in Faribault. This ten-month instructional role focuses on delivering academic programs to deaf/hard of hearing and deaf/blind students, using diverse teaching strategies to foster positive behavior and learning outcomes.

Under general supervision, the teacher will contribute to curriculum delivery, assessment, and progress documentation while meeting Minnesota licensing requirements and ASL proficiency

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid DHH Minnesota Teacher license or be eligible to obtain one before start.
• Knowledge of deaf/hard of hearing and deaf/blind students.
• Fluency in American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructional programs for deaf/hard of hearing or deaf/blind students.
• Provide educational instruction and use varied techniques to encourage appropriate behaviors.
• Work under supervision in a ten-month schedule with a summer session.
