Job summary

Brunel is seeking an experienced DCS Technician III to support control system operations and maintenance for a major LNG facility and pipeline environment. The role focuses on DeltaV diagnostics, maintenance tickets, and technical follow-ups, with AMS Optics experience a strong plus.

Collaborative cross-functional work is required to uphold safety and reliability. Ideal candidates bring 5–7+ years in DCS/control systems, solid DeltaV hands-on expertise, and excellent documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant DCS/control systems experience.
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Hands-on DeltaV experience is highly preferred.
• AMS Optics experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in LNG/natural gas or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and configure control system hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with plant operations.
• Perform regular system diagnostics, backups, and updates to help prevent downtime and maintain system security.
• Monitor and follow up on DeltaV diagnostics and maintenance tickets.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to address system alarms and optimize control processes.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new control systems.
• Ensure control system activities are performed according to technical specifications, safety requirements, and established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and system updates.
• Provide technical support and training to operators and other staff regarding DCS functionality.
• Communicate risks, issues, and required follow-ups in a timely and clear manner.
• Coordinate activities across site, engineering, maintenance, and other applicable teams.
• Support continuous improvement of control system reliability and operational performance.
