Job summary

Teal Energi is seeking an AMS Optics and DV Diagnostics Technician to support LNG and pipeline control systems in the Texas area. The role focuses on monitoring diagnostics, ticket management, and improving DCS reliability.

You will troubleshoot, update, and configure DeltaV/DCS systems, collaborate with operations and maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant plant performance while coordinating across sites.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years supporting Distributed Control Systems in industrial settings.
• Experience with DeltaV diagnostics is required.
• AMS Optics experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor DeltaV diagnostics and AMS Optics systems to identify issues.
• Manage, track, and follow up on maintenance tickets and actions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair distributed control systems (DCS).
• Perform system diagnostics, backups, updates, and config changes.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of control system equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering to resolve alarms.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, maintenance activities, updates.
• Provide technical support related to DCS and diagnostics.
• Ensure compliance with process safety, env, and operations requirements.
• Support MOC, permit-to-work, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Summary:

The AMS Optics and DV Diagnostics Technician is responsible for monitoring DeltaV diagnostics, managing maintenance tickets, and supporting control system reliability for LNG and pipeline operations. This role provides technical expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), troubleshooting issues, coordinating corrective actions, and ensuring safe, reliable plant performance.

Job Duties:

• Monitor DeltaV diagnostics and AMS Optics systems to identify performance issues and maintenance needs.
• Manage, track, and follow up on maintenance tickets and corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Perform system diagnostics, backups, updates, and configuration changes.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of control system equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve alarms and improve system reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and updates.
• Provide technical support and guidance related to DCS and diagnostics systems.
• Ensure compliance with process safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Support management of change (MOC), permit-to-work processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of experience supporting Distributed Control Systems in industrial environments.
• Experience with DeltaV diagnostics required.
• AMS Optics experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in LNG, natural gas, pipeline, petrochemical, terminal, or other regulated industrial facilities preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with system documentation, maintenance tracking, and technical reporting.
• Ability to travel between office and site locations as required.
