Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor and configure control system hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with plant operations.
• Perform regular system diagnostics, backups, and updates to help prevent downtime and maintain system security.
• Monitor and follow up on DeltaV diagnostics and maintenance tickets.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to address system alarms and optimize control processes.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and startup of new control systems.
• Ensure control system activities are performed according to technical specifications, safety requirements, and established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and system updates.
• Provide technical support and training to operators and other staff regarding DCS functionality.
• Communicate risks, issues, and required follow-ups in a timely and clear manner.
• Coordinate activities across site, engineering, maintenance, and other applicable teams.
• Support continuous improvement of control system reliability and operational performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced DCS Technician III to support control system operations and maintenance for a major LNG facility and pipeline environment.

The DCS Technician will be responsible for monitoring and stewarding DeltaV diagnostics, maintenance tickets, and technical follow-ups. The role requires an experienced professional who can work independently, manage moderately complex assignments, coordinate with cross-functional teams, analyze risks, and provide technical support to less-experienced team members.

AMS Optics experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7+ years of relevant DCS/control systems experience for a Level III position.
• Strong experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Hands-on experience with DeltaV is highly preferred.
• AMS Optics experience is a strong plus.
• Experience in LNG, natural gas, petrochemical, pipeline, terminal, refinery, heavy industrial, or other regulated operating environments is preferred.
• Experience with DCS troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, configuration, and system support.
• Experience supporting commissioning or installation of control systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Sound judgment and ability to identify and communicate operational and technical risks.
