Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Virginia DCJS license required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Criminal histories considered per law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing depends on state/local rules.
• Driver's license needed for driving roles only.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist visitors with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout banking areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, maintenance issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
