Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in Illinois seeks a Sr. Manager, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) to lead a team of engineers responsible for EPMS and BMS systems. This role requires strategic thinking, planning, and influence to drive enterprise standards across multiple sites.

You will oversee deployments, enforce SOPs, monitor performance, analyze data, and champion efficiency with cost reduction across the data center portfolio.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience with critical monitoring systems.
• 3+ years of management/supervisory experience leading engineering or critical operations teams.
• Proficient knowledge and experience with BMS and EPMS systems.
• Familiarity with power distribution systems in data center environments.
• US Citizenship required by law due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Schedules deployment resources per QA-approved schedules and ensures adherence to SOPs.
• Trains DCIM Engineers on SOPs and job requirements for effective service enablement.
• Monitors deployment progress to minimize downtime and control costs.
• Analyzes data, prepares reports, and recommends improvements to speed project completion.
• Leads projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Assists with budgets and monitors expenses to stay within budget.
• Directs vendor engagement via scope of work and RFPs; enforces policies.
• Champions change by training regional DCIM Engineers on BMS/EPMS applications.
