Job summary

Moog Inc. in Murphy, NC is hiring a Production Operator to assemble electromechanical products and operate tooling and automated equipment. The role requires reading instructions, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

You will perform motor assembly steps, test drives, and ensure quality per specifications while cross-training across all operations. This onsite position offers overtime and a path for skill development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand English instructions and perform basic math.
• Possess Mechanical Aptitude.
• Experience soldering or ability to become certified.
• Good eyesight with color distinction and hand dexterity.
• Able to lift 20 lbs frequently and up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with magnets that have a strong electromagnetic field.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using documented procedures and tooling; including rotor, stator sub-assembly, rotor assembly, motor assembly.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate drill drivers and automated drivers with feeder bowls.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive per specifications.
• Load and monitor automated machinery.
• Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.
• Complete cross-training in all operations.
• Sit or stand for long periods, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
