Job summary

Moog in Murphy, NC is seeking a qualified candidate for a 2nd Shift Production Operator. This onsite role reports to the Manager, Value Stream and involves assembling electromechanical products and motor assemblies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, soldering ability, color vision, and can lift up to 40 lbs. Overtime, including Saturdays, may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and apply English instructions.
• Experience soldering or ability to become certified.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs and work around magnets.
• Sit/stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using documentation and tooling; including rotor, stator sub-assembly and motor assembly.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tool to remove insulation from lead wire.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate drill drivers and automated drivers with feeder bowls.
• Complete final motor assembly and test motor/drive for performance.
• Load and monitor automated machinery.
• Prepare and package final motor/drive assembly.
• Complete cross-training in all operations.
