Job summary

Moog Inc. in Murphy, NC is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Operator to assemble electromechanical products and operate automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, soldering experience or willingness to certify, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Good eyesight and color discernment are required, and there will be cross-training across operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Experience soldering or ability to become certified.
• Good eyesight with color discernment and fine motor dexterity.
• Able to lift 20–40 lbs and work around magnets.
• Must understand English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical products using documentation and tooling.
• Operate machine stripper or hand tools to strip insulation.
• Install lead wire pin connectors.
• Operate stator potting mixer/applicator.
• Apply varnish and glue to stator/rotor assemblies.
• Operate mold transfer press.
• Attach heat sink and apply potting compound.
• Complete motor assembly and test performance per specifications.
• Load and monitor automated machinery; prepare packaging.
• Cross-train across all operations; stand or sit as required.
• Overtime work, including Saturdays.
