Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead the Distribution Shipping team, ensuring accurate, on-time order fulfillment while maintaining a safe work environment. You will coach staff, manage training, and coordinate with carrier partners to optimize daily operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced distribution center. A forklift-certified candidate with strong communication skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; 3+ years related experience or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year in a lead/supervisory role in a warehouse
• Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely
• Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job
• English proficiency required; strong communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of the Distribution Shipping department to ensure on‑time, accurate order fulfillment
• Maintains safety, clean work areas, and compliant SOP execution
• Oversees training, coaching, and performance reviews for staff
• Monitors performance reports to meet standards and budgets
• Coordinates with carriers and other departments to manage shipments
• Acts as backup for Receiving and Inventory Supervisors
