Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a 1st shift Warehouse Associate Equipment Operator for the Grand Prairie, TX distribution center. The role supports safe, accurate, and dependable operations with monotonous yet pivotal daily tasks and a Monday–Friday 6:30AM–3:00PM schedule.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and more. Experience in warehouse settings and the use of RF scanners/voice systems are valued traits for success.

Qualifications

• Overtime required depending on business demands.
• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, picking or receiving experience preferred.
• Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Experience with RFID/voice-activated warehouse tech or willingness to learn.
• Regular attendance and safety PPE adherence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA and Ferguson procedures.
• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to locations.
• Use RF scanners, voice systems, and labor management systems daily.
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets to maintain inventory integrity.
• Maintain product safety and quality while following SOPs.
• Communicate with team and participate in housekeeping and safety practices.

Ferguson is currently seeking(1st) Shift Warehouse Associate Equipment Operators for our(Grand Prairie, TX)distribution center. This role is ideal for individuals with warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience who take pride in safe, accurate, and dependable work.

Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30AM- 3:00PM

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands
• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, picking, or receiving experience preferred
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (stand‑up forklifts, reach trucks, order selectors, dock stockers) preferred
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in a warehouse environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs , standing/walking for extended periods, working at heights up to 30 feet , and performing repetitive movements (bending, twisting, reaching)
• Experience with, or readiness to learn, warehouse technology such as RF scanners or voice systems
• Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

• Safely operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safety procedures
• Accurately pick, sort, stage, store, and transport product to assigned locations
• Perform daily tasks using RF scanners, voice systems, and/or labor management systems
• Build, wrap, label, and organize pallets, containers, and materials to maintain inventory integrity
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety at all times while following all established standard operating procedures for assigned task areas
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a team‑oriented work environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, participating in ongoing housekeeping efforts
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall‑protection equipment when required
• Participate in team meetings and communicate concerns or improvement opportunities to management
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs

Pay Range:

$15.00 - $23.79

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
