Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver to operate a Class 8 tractor-trailer and complete safe, timely deliveries to store locations as part of our company fleet. Home daily, five-day work week, no weekends; salary package includes safety incentives, driver bonuses and performance-based raises.

Essential duties include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining Hours of Service logs, loading with electric pallet jacks and lift gates, securing loads, and accurate delivery

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations, logbooks, and vehicle inspections required.
• Must maintain a clean MVR and hold a valid DOT physical status.
• Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests must be passed.
• Current Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial Class 8 tractor-trailer for safe, timely deliveries to stores.
• Load, unload, and deliver merchandise using electric pallet jacks and lift gates.
• Follow routes and schedules to ensure efficiency within timeframes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain HOS logs.
• Secure loads, doors, and alarms; verify delivery accuracy and handle returns.
• Assist with additional routes as needed to support operations.

Potential first year earnings of $88,530.00 based upon average route hours; actual annual earnings may vary based upon length of route.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operate a commercial Class 8 tractor-trailer to complete safe, timely, and accurate route deliveries in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
• Utilize electric pallet jacks and lift gates to load, unload, and deliver merchandise to designated store locations.
• Follow assigned routes, stops, and schedules to ensure efficient deliveries within set timeframes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain Hours of Service (HOS) logs, and comply with FMCSA regulations.
• Secure all loads, vehicle doors, and alarms before and after each stop; ensure proper delivery verification and manage returned merchandise.
• Assist with various delivery routes as needed to support operational requirements.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, logbook, and vehicle inspections
• Maintain a clean MVR and a valid DOT physical status
