Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating shift startup meetings, monitoring flow between receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, and mentoring associates. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a distribution center or logistics environment.
• Strong collaboration and directing teams amidst operational challenges.
• Understanding of DC processes and performance metrics (UPH, accuracy, service levels).
• Effective communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and drive improvements.
• Lean, 5S or continuous improvement knowledge preferred.
• Experience with WMS and RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily priorities, workload changes, and performance updates to ensure the entire team is informed.
• Coordinate shift startup meetings to align teams on safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Act as a floor monitor, coordinating activities and maintaining flow between receiving, picking, packing, put wall, and shipping.
• Support onboarding and cross-training of associates with standard work.
• Provide real-time guidance to reinforce safe, efficient, high-quality work practices.
• Observe and ensure adherence to SOPs and best practices across sections.
• Help maintain supplies and setup for daily activities.
• Support process documentation and visual aids to ensure consistent execution.
• Identify bottlenecks and address quality concerns in real time.
• Analyze root cause investigations for incidents using structured methods.
• Partner with leadership to implement continuous improvements for DC performance and safety.
• Model safe work behaviors and ensure safety standards compliance.
• Support quality initiatives by validating outbound accuracy and reducing errors.
• Track daily performance metrics such as UPH and service levels.
• Participate in continuous improvement to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
• Foster accountability and teamwork, encouraging ownership of results.
• Standardize processes and communication across shifts and departments.
