Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Level 4 Lead Installer for field-based work across Telecom, Data Center, and Outside Plant environments. You will lead installations, perform adds/removals, and ensure compliance with customer standards and engineering drawings.

Up to 100% travel is required. This role requires a minimum of 6 years' experience as a lead installer, a high school diploma (technical degree preferred), and proficiency with MS Office and electronic test equipment.

Qualifications

• 6 years' accumulated experience as Level 4 installer or equivalent per Telcordia specs.
• High school diploma; technical degree preferred.
• Special electronics training or work experience.
• Knowledge of GR-1275, TP76300, IP72202, etc.
• Strong verbal, written and customer-facing skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment in Telecom/Data Center/Outside Plant environments.
• Perform additions, removals, and modifications on non-working equipment and circuits.
• Familiar with battery installation and maintenance.
• Install framing/cable racks/raceways/busways, etc.
• Install DC power, transport, and data center equipment.
• Lead role for all jobs including hot work and PMs.
• On-site analysis of drawings, specs and MOPs to resolve issues.
• Ensure installations meet standards and participate in quality audits.
• Maintain safety as top priority and use proper PPE.
• Oversee assignments, time management, training and development of personnel.
• Maintain professional appearance and provide customer service.
• Participate in project meetings and report progress.
