Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Product Engineer who serves as the customer-facing technical authority for the Data Center DC Power portfolio. You will bridge product strategy and execution by translating customer requirements into actionable engineering specs and leading technical efforts across Sales, Service, and Account Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience (2–4 years for exceptional candidates).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders.
• Proficiency generating schematics, block diagrams, and technical illustrations.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate customer technical requirements into inputs for product development.
• Lead RFQ proposals, including schematics, block diagrams, and MCAD/ECAD files.
• Provide input to design reviews and align specifications with customer needs.
• Create and oversee user manuals, guides, submittal packages, and bulletins.
• Deliver product training to Sales, Service, and Manufacturing.
• Provide technical field support and liaison between customers and Engineering.
• Communicate market feedback to drive product development via stage-gate process.
• Collaborate with Product Management on strategy and roadmap input.
• Support trade shows, site visits, and technical presentations.
• Maintain product configurator BOM structure and NPDI deliverables.
